It is seen that boys tend to follow their fathers and girls their mothers. Is the influence of a father more on the son and that of a mother more on the daughter? [BAND 9 ESSAY]

It is often observed that children tend to take after their parents in many ways. Specifically, it is commonly believed that boys follow their fathers while girls take after their mothers. This has led to the question of whether fathers have more influence on their sons, and mothers have more influence on their daughters.

One reason why boys may be more likely to follow their fathers is that they often spend more time together. Fathers may take their sons on outings or participate in activities that are traditionally viewed as masculine, such as sports or outdoor activities. As a result, boys may be more likely to adopt their father's interests and mannerisms. However, this is not to say that fathers have no influence on their daughters, as they can still play an important role in shaping their daughters' attitudes and behaviors.

On the other hand, girls may be more likely to follow their mothers due to the influence of gender roles and societal expectations. Mothers are often seen as the primary caregivers and role models for their daughters, and they may spend more time teaching them household skills or other traditionally feminine activities. Additionally, mothers may serve as a source of emotional support and guidance for their daughters, which can have a significant impact on their development.

It's worth noting, however, that the influence of parents on their children is not solely determined by gender. Each child is unique and may be influenced by different factors, such as personality, temperament, and life experiences. Additionally, the influence of a parent may shift over time as children grow and develop their own identities.

In Conclusion while it is often said that boys tend to follow their fathers and girls their mothers, the reality is much more complex. Both parents can have a significant impact on their children's development, regardless of gender. Ultimately, the most important thing is for parents to provide love, support, and guidance to their children as they navigate the challenges of growing up.

Some countries have legal ages at which people can drink. Other countries believe not have strict laws is a better policy. Discuss both sides and give your own opinion. ( Band 9 discussion IELTS essay | 9th January) Image by  pexels Sample Answer 1 The legal age for drinking is a controversial topic worldwide. Some countries enforce strict laws regarding the legal age for drinking, while others believe that having flexible laws is a better policy. In my opinion, having a legal age for drinking can be beneficial, but the severity of the law depends on the country's culture and social norms. One cause of having a legal age for drinking is to reduce the number of drunken driving incidents. Young adults who consume alcohol are more likely to engage in risky activities like driving under the influence.  In many countries, people increasingly talk about money such as how much they earn or how much they pay for things in their daily conversations.   Why?   Is this a positive or negative trend? ( Band 9 | Double question essay | 10th February) Image by Pexels Sample Answer 1 Money has always been a topic of great interest, but in recent years, the frequency with which people discuss their earnings, expenses, and financial status has increased significantly in many countries. This trend has raised several questions about the reasons behind it and whether it is a positive or negative development. One of the primary reasons why people are talking more about money is the rise of social media, which has made it easier for people to share information about their personal lives, including their financial status. This has led to a culture of oversharing and has created a sense of pressure to keep up with others. The increasing cost of living and consumerist culture...
